An elopement for two near Sarteano
This Valdichiana elopement took place at La Sovana, a farm estate with its own winery in the countryside outside Sarteano, below Monte Cetona. We photographed the day from the first look to the last light over the vineyards.

The estate
La Sovana, below Monte Cetona
La Sovana is a farm estate between the Valdichiana and the Val d’Orcia, with vineyards, olive groves and old farmhouses, in the countryside outside Sarteano.
From here Sarteano, Cetona and Montepulciano are all close, which gave us different settings without spending the day on the road.

The rings waited in their boxes on an olive branch. Then the first look: the two of them meeting before the ceremony.

Vows and rings at La Sovana
They read their vows and exchanged rings in the countryside of the estate, with the hills of the Valdichiana around them.

Portraits among cypresses and olive trees
In the late afternoon we moved along the gravel roads and fields of the estate: rows of cypresses, olive trees, the grass turned gold by the low sun.

Between the ceremony and sunset we photographed them across La Sovana: under the tall trees, in the open fields and along the country roads, until the light dropped behind the pines. From the drone, the farmhouse and the vineyards around it.
