An elopement today isn’t a secret runaway wedding. It’s an intentional choice: a small, private ceremony — usually just the two of you, sometimes with a handful of close family or friends — focused entirely on the experience instead of the logistics of a large guest list.
In Tuscany, this often means a symbolic ceremony in a vineyard, a hilltop garden or a quiet corner of Florence, followed by a couple session at golden hour and an intimate dinner.

Planning an intimate wedding in Tuscany often raises practical questions about prices, booking, locations, timing and how the photographic coverage works. Here are the most common answers.
How much does an elopement photographer in Tuscany cost?
The price depends on the length of coverage, travel beyond Florence, the number of photographers and whether you would like to add video coverage.
Send us your date and the location you have in mind, and we will reply with a tailor-made quote within 24 hours.
How do we book and pay?
To reserve your date, we require a deposit and a signed contract. The remaining balance is due on the day of the event.
We accept cash, bank transfer, SumUp, Stripe, credit card and PayPal.
What happens after booking?
You will receive a short pre-event questionnaire covering the location, timeline, important photographs and any family or group photos.
From there, we plan the day together by email or WhatsApp, and we can also coordinate with your planner or celebrant if needed.
How far in advance should we book?
For the best availability, especially between April and October, we recommend booking at least 4–6 months in advance.
Last-minute dates are sometimes possible in winter or during the low season, so feel free to ask.
Can you help us choose the location?
Yes. We can share suggestions for Florence, Chianti, Val d’Orcia, San Gimignano and the Crete Senesi — places we have photographed for years and know well in terms of light, access and seasonality.
Very often, the villa, venue or boutique hotel where you are staying is already a beautiful setting, and the staff usually knows the surrounding area well.
For more complex logistics — permits, group transport or legal requirements — a wedding planner can be a good solution, but it is not necessary for most elopements.
Can we add video coverage?
Yes. Video can be added to any elopement package, either as a short film or as a longer cinematic edit, depending on the day and the final result you would like.
How will we receive the photographs?
You will receive your edited photographs in high resolution through a private online gallery, ready to download and share.
The gallery is simple to use and allows you to access your images from anywhere.
What is the best time of year for an elopement in Tuscany?
From late April to mid-June, and from September to mid-October, Tuscany offers some of the best conditions: warm light, softer tones in the landscape and generally more comfortable temperatures.
July and August can be very hot, so we usually recommend an early morning or late afternoon session.
Winter elopements can also be very atmospheric, especially for couples looking for a quieter and more intimate experience.
Do we need permits to take photos in public places?
For most outdoor public spaces in Tuscany, a small elopement group usually does not require a permit.
Some city locations, gardens, villas or private venues may require a fee or written authorisation. Your accommodation, venue or wedding planner can usually help manage these requests.
Can you photograph a two-day elopement?
Yes. For some couples, we suggest dividing the coverage across two days: the ceremony and dinner on the first day, and a longer couple session at sunrise on the second day — often in a different location.
This reduces the pressure of fitting everything into one day and often creates some of the strongest images of the whole experience.
We feel nervous in front of the camera. How do you handle posing?
We do not rely on stiff or static poses. Instead, we give you light direction: walk this way, look at each other, take a moment, forget about the camera.
We photograph what happens in between. The goal is to create images that feel natural, elegant and honest.
Are you comfortable photographing LGBTQ+ elopements?
Yes. We have photographed same-sex weddings and elopements for more than ten years, and we approach them exactly like any other ceremony we document: with respect, discretion and attention to the real connection between two people.
