The story
A walk through Florence
We did this couple photoshoot walking through the streets of Florence in spring, right in the middle of city life: tourists, passers-by, busy squares.
We started in Piazza Santa Croce, walked up to the Villa Bardini garden with the wisteria in bloom and the city below us, and finished in front of the Duomo. No staged poses: we let them walk, hold each other and look at each other, crowd and all, and photographed what happened.

Santa Croce
Piazza Santa Croce
Our first stop was Piazza Santa Croce, with the white marble front of the basilica and the square full of people.
In front of the great carved wooden door the couple looks tiny: it is one of the most beautiful backdrops in the city. Some photos are in black and white, to bring out the looks and the details of the door.
Villa Bardini
The Villa Bardini garden
From Santa Croce we crossed the Arno and walked up to the Villa Bardini garden, which looks over the whole of Florence.
Under the wisteria pergola in bloom and on a garden bench we made the quietest photos, with the Duomo’s dome peeking through the branches. In the same garden we also photographed a Villa Bardini proposal.

We went back to the centre and finished in front of the Duomo, with the white, green and pink marble behind them. One last hug in the middle of the square, with tourists walking past: a photo that shows what a couple session in the heart of Florence is really like.
