The story
A couple among the flowering fields
We did this couple photoshoot in spring in the countryside of Travalle, just outside Florence. The fields were covered in yellow flowers, with hills and cypresses all around.
Both dressed in white, hair in the wind: against the yellow fields and green hills they stand out like two spots of light. We walked with them along the paths between the fields, stopped among the flowers and finished on a stone wall as the sun set behind the hills.

We stepped into the flowering field, with flowers up to the waist and a villa with cypresses on the hill opposite. He lifted her up, she laughed: the happiest photos of the session were made here.
We also used the flowers in the foreground, out of focus, to give depth to the photos and keep the couple at the centre.

The path through the hills
From the fields we moved onto the dirt path that crosses the countryside. Hand in hand, small in the landscape, with the Travalle hills behind them.
This is where we made the widest photos, the ones where the landscape matters as much as the couple.

The wall at sunset
We finished on a dry-stone wall, with the low sun behind the hills and warm light coming in from the side. The last backlit hugs, up close: she holds him laughing, he closes his eyes.
